James and Ruth moved to Scottsdale in 2003 after selling their school supply business in Chicago. They wanted to escape the winter weather and enjoy outdoor activities in the Arizona sunshine. The couple also enjoys exploring new restaurants in the area and can provide detailed reviews of numerous dining spots. They particularly look forward to Restaurant Week in the fall and spring to try out new eateries with friends. Their choice to join Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty was motivated by the company’s family-owned nature, its emphasis on customer service, and its vision for growth.
Jan has a similar real estate journey with Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty, bringing with her a passion for homes and extensive customer service experience. She finds joy in successfully matching buyers with their ideal homes and loves Arizona’s outdoor activities. Jan was a firefighter/paramedic in Scottsdale, Cave Creek, and Carefree for 24 years. She joined the RJ Team in 2016 and has significantly enhanced the team’s synergy since then.
