James and Ruth moved to the Scottsdale area in 2003 after selling their school supply business in Chicago. “We escaped the winter weather to enjoy biking and other outdoor activities in the great Arizona sunshine.” We love to eat and try new restaurants in the area -we can give you the food critic rundown of hundreds of restaurants in the area. We really enjoy Restaurant Week in the fall and the spring so we can try new restaurants with friends. For them joining Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty was the best choice! It was a family owned company that excelled in customer service and had a vision of growth.
Jan’s passion for homes along with years of customer service experience led her on a similar real-estate path with Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty. “My best day is when a buyer and a home match up perfectly and I like to make that happen.” Also being an outdoor enthusiast who loves hiking and other activities , Jan found Arizona to be a great fit. She joined the RJ Team in 2016 and has increased the team’s synergy since that time.

The RJ Team also believes in giving back and has partnered with 88Bikes – an organization that provides bikes to young women who are survivors of human trafficking enabling them to get to school or work. The RJ Team donates a bike with each transaction during the year. We also work closely with the Foothills Foodbank to provide money and volunteer hours for special projects.
